2023年是AI發展特別的一年。隨著大眾對AI/ML的認知不斷增加，AI不再局限於學術研究，市面亦越來越多企業利用ML/Generative AI 技術應用於產品上。所以，GDG Hong Kong 推出首個AI/ML大型主題活動，"AI/ML Symposium 2023: From Theory to Impact"！這次活動的目的是為了聚集香港的AI/ML Community，一齊學習同分享。我們的活動涵蓋由理論到應用的各種主題，包括：
- On-device ML
- Applied ML
- Vertex AI
- ML Research
- Kaggle
📅日期：2023年10月14日 (星期六)
⏰時間：上午10:30 - 下午5:00 (上午10:00 開始進場)
📍地點：香港理工大學 Global Student Hub
🤝對象：任何具有編碼經驗及對AI/ML有深入認識的朋友

2023 is a special year for AI. With the increasing public awareness of AI/ML, there are more companies utilising AI/ML in their products. Therefore, we would like to introduce our first large-scale event focusing on AI/ML Topics: "AI/ML Symposium 2023: From Theory to Impact"! The purpose of this event is to bring the AI/ML community in Hong Kong together to learn, network, and share ideas. Our event will cover a variety of topics from theory to practical knowledge, including:
- On-device ML
- Applied ML
- Vertex AI
- ML Research
- Kaggle

⏰ Time: 10:30 am - 5:30 pm (10:00 am starts for registration)
📍 Venue: Z211 (Z Core), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
🤝 Who can join: Anyone with coding experience and intermediate/advanced knowledge in AI/ML

To encourage our community participation, we have set up a Lightning Talk session. We are currently inviting AI Developer/Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer to give a 5-minute short presentation. Speaker Submission Conditions
- Relevance to the Theme: All submissions must align with the event theme.
- Original Content: We value original and fresh content. Submissions should be of unpublished work, showcasing innovative ideas and insights.
- Presentation Duration: As this is a lightning talk, the proposed sessions should be STRICTLY LIMITED to 5 MINUTES ONLY.
- Submission Materials: Along with your proposal, please include a brief biography and a high-resolution headshot.
- Deadline: All proposals must be submitted by October 7, 2023.
- Speaker Benefits: Selected speakers will be provided with swags.
